‘Thanks for a fantastic course and all your encouragement. It’s made such a difference to my own biking and coaching!’ ‘You’ve achieved the impossible – my biking has improved so radically after just one session that husband and I can now actually go mountain biking together and enjoy it – who knew?!’
Cycle Wild Scotland Scottish Mountain Bike Leader Association (SMBLA) QualificationsCycle Wild Scotland is a provider for the SMBLA scheme, offering national qualifications at two progressive levels, (1) the Trail Cycle Leader and (2) Mountain Bike Leader Awards, the association’s Expedition Module and Night Riding Module. Through training and assessment, the scheme equips candidates with the skills and knowledge to lead groups of mountain bike riders. SMBLA - qualified leaders can show clients and mates how to have more fun and adventure, safely. The awards are appropriate for those leading groups on a commercial or voluntary basis, for example Outdoor Instructors, Youth or School Group leaders. The scheme is also suitable for MTB enthusiasts looking to get more out of their own riding within the structure of a formal qualification. In addition to the Trail Cycle and Mountain Bike Leader Awards, Cycle Wild Scotland deliver the SMBLA's Skills, Expedition, Night Riding and Winter Riding modules all of which are open to holders of TCL and MBL awards.
